Experience the Salt Lake Excitement

The 5K takes place in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. The course winds past historic sites and city shops while offering views of snow-capped mountains in the near distance. Sharing the same finish line as the full and half marathoners, you’ll be able to join in on all the excitement of the Salt Lake City Marathon weekend!

5K Course Route

ON-COURSE INFORMATION

Aid stations
The 5K course will have 1 aid station located at approximately 1.5 miles (or halfway) into the course. The aid station will have a restroom facility, water and Gatorade products.

Medical support
Medical personnel will be available at the start/finish line. The medical tent is located at the finish line. There will be a first aid kit located at the aid station along the course, and aid station manager will have access to immediate E.M.T. and ambulance services if needed.

Portable toilets
A portable toilet will be available at the aid station. Please DO NOT relieve yourself on either private or public property along the course.

TIME LIMIT

If you are still on the course after 2 hours, keep in mind that the half marathoners may be coming in from behind you, and you may be asked to continue the run on the sidewalk adjacent to our course. SAG wagons will patrol the route providing support to these participants.

We also suggest that walkers and slower participants consider using a fanny pack that accommodates a water bottle and snacks.

FINISH LINE AND POST-RACE FESTIVAL

The last mile of the course is a huge celebration filled with crowds of well-wishers and more energy than you thought possible! After crossing the finish line, participants receive their medal and can head into the refreshments area where Water, Gatorade products, Kodiak Cakes pancakes, Creamies ice cream, Dole fruit cups, and other food for replenishment will be waiting.

Participants, as well as their families and friends, are invited to join the post-race festivities where live bands perform on the entertainment stage. Fun, interactive exhibits for adults and children as well as great food will all be part of the festivities to help celebrate and cheer on the athletes.
