EVENT CANCELLATION NOTICE

Our top priority continues to be the health and safety of our athletes, volunteers, spectators, sponsors, partners, law enforcement and medical professionals and all that are involved with or impacted by the Salt Lake City Marathon. Furthermore, it is our responsibility as members of local and global communities and as humans to contribute however we can to the well-being of everyone.

It is with great sadness that we must announce that the University of Utah Health Salt Lake City Marathon presented by Bank of America and all of its related events for 2020 have been postponed due to imminent mass-gathering restrictions related to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The event will be postponed until 2021. Current registrants will have the option to run, bike, or skate a virtual race on their own or to be automatically deferred to 2021 at no additional cost. For more details on these options, please continue to visit the Salt Lake City Marathon’s COVID-19 update page on our website here. Additional instructions and details will be emailed as soon as possible.

We are devastated with this outcome and share in your confusion, frustration and sadness. Our hearts and thoughts are with all of our athletes and partners, past and present, and their families during this difficult time.
